MBA PROGRAMS FOR WORKING PROFESSIONALS
One-Year, Modular Format:
Aerospace & Defense MBA — a one-year, aerospace-focused program that teaches the business of aerospace and defense. It is the only AACSB-accredited program of its kind in the United States. Students participate in five, nine-day, on-campus residence periods and a sixth residence period in Europe.
Executive MBA — a one-year program customized for experienced managers and executives who operate in a global business environment. Students average 13 years work experience and represent a diversity of industries and geographic locations. There are four, two-week residence periods, including one international residence period, supplemented with distance-learning sessions.
Physician Executive MBA — a one-year, physicians-only program that emphasizes management skills in a health care context. Physicians interact with peers and faculty through quarterly on-campus residence periods; curriculum is supplemented with interactive, live, distance-learning classes every Saturday morning.
Sixteen-Month, Modular Format:
Global Supply Chain Executive MBA (offered first quarter 2011) — a 16-month global program addressing the supply chain, leadership, and cultural challenges that executives face. A collaborative effort among university partners worldwide, the program features five, two-week residence periods (in Latin America, Western Europe, Central/Eastern Europe, Asia, and North America); an international faculty; and applied learning.
Sixteen-Month, Weekend Format:
Professional MBA — a 16-month weekend program for managers within driving distance of Knoxville. It is an intense, integrated, and applied comprehensive program for business professionals. Classes meet three Saturdays each month with periodic interactive, live, distance-learning sessions on Tuesday evenings. An optional international experience is also available.
FULL-TIME MBA PROGRAM
Seventeen-Month, Full-Time Format:
Full-time MBA— a 17-month program designed for high-potential individuals seeking successful careers in business, government, and non-profit organizations. Students average 3.5 years of work experience and represent a diversity of career interests and geographic locations. Program requires full-time residency at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Concentrations in Finance, Logistics, Marketing, Operations, and Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
